In China Mobile Pakistan I was working as an Executive BSS and my responsibilities includes operation and maintenance of Ericsson and Huawei BSS/UTRAN Nodes and EMS Nodes and implementation and coordination with vendor and all stakeholders like transmission/IPCore, NSS, and PS Core departments for execution of projects like new nodes integration, Rehoming of BTS/Nodeb/Enodeb, Reparenting of BSCs/RNCs etc. Few responsibilities are mention below.

 

  Responsibilities:

 

·   Work and coordinate with vendor to execute projects and to achieve company targets on time.

·   Coordinates with other departments during the executions of projects and to streamline all the process before and during the execution of projects.

·   Daily KPI monitoring of 2G 3G and LTE network and provide rectification of issues with coordination with field operations and other concerned department.

·   Working experience on Ericsson RNC3820/RBS6000.

·   Commissioning of new Huawei BSC 6900/RNC6910 and service testing after initial configuration.

·   Provide support to field operation team for rectification of availability related issues on BTS Nodeb /enodeb and BTS3900/RBS6000.

·   Daily Alarm monitoring of Ericsson and Huawei BSCs and RNCs and rectify the alarm as per handling procedure.

Huawei Technologies (CMPAK SWAP Project)

 

 

 

 

Designation:       BSS Engineer                                (OCT 2011 TO June 2012)            

 

I worked on CMPAK 674 sites Swap project from Ericsson to Huawei. During this project I was involved in commissioning BSC6900 OMU board and configuration of Huawei BSC 6900. I was also responsible for routing/connectivity of BSC’s with M2000 Server using Quidway 3300 series switches and AR28 router. I worked as a Huawei outsource employee during this period.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·   Network capacity expansion Work orders generation/execution to expand TRXs in over utilized cells and scratch TRXs from underutilized cells.

·   Expansion on A-Interface when traffic exceeds a predefined threshold in busy hour alongside N7 link utilizations.

·   Performing all the activities like cutovers, media shifting, software patches upgrades, and health checks of BTS and BSCs.

·   Configuration of new BTS sites for swap, and coordinate with fops team during swap activity to on air the BTS timely.

·   Installation, configuration and commissioning of new BSCs and coordination with different departments for connectivity and testing.

·   Creation of Vlan on Huawei AR28 Router for BSC’s

·   Software up gradation of BTS.

·   Coordination with field operation teams for rectification of BTS/related issues.

·   Configuration of switch and dedicate individual ports to Vlan created for BSC’s

 

Huawei Technologies (Ufone Rollout Project)

 

 

Designation:            BSS Engineer              (JUNE 2010 to September 2011)

 

Major responsibilities include configuration of BTS and coordination with on field representatives during ATP and during BTS commissioning. I worked as a Huawei outsource employee during this period.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

·   Configuration of BTS sites (BTS 3900, 3900A BTS 3012 3012AE, DBS 3900 on Huawei BSC 6000 and BSC 6900).

·   Neighbor Audit, addition and deletion of neighbors to improve HSR.

·   Perform TRX expansion/de-gradation as per traffic statistics 

·   Analyze drive test files in order to sort out problems in the network and determine if caused by poor RF coverage, RF interference, poor handover parameters, poor power control etc.

·   Provide support for troubleshooting BTS related faults and do necessary changes in configuration when required.

·   Making reports for bench marking any trial, parameter change, drive test results, KPI performance etc.

 

 

Huawei Technologies (Ufone SWAP Project)  

 

Designation:      BSS Engineer                                      (JAN 2010 TO MAY 2010)            

 

Worked as a BSS engineer and provided support to BTS O&M team during site Integration, troubleshooting, media verification, ATP and other activities parameters modification.

 

Responsibilities

 

·   Provide coordination to BTS O&M personnel’s during site integration

·   Provide all kind of parametric modifications to BSS elements.

·   Configuration of BTS3900 and BTS 3900A.

·   Configure External Alarms for outdoor and indoor BTS.

·   Monitoring BTS related Alarms.

·   Troubleshoots BTS Related Alarms.

·   Provide support to Transmission team members for Media Verification.

·   Configure of Abis links (Adding and Removing).

·   Provide support for Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP).
